Its not just in the movies,it happen to me

I can't believe this could happen to me ,I taught this crap only happen in the movies . I left work for a hour or two,while heading back my friend call ,so I 'm chatting on the phone ,I looked in the corner of my eye and there she was waiting to cross the street, she look no older than eight or nine.Thats when the motherly instinct thing step in ,we were standing by a corner where there was no traffic lights just a sign saying school ahead.So I walk to her, asked if she wanted to cross the street? held her hand and we cross. I realise my phone was missing ,I spin around and there it was in the middle of the lane ,closes to me, cars was coming .I knew I 'll have to wait,the first car saw it and pass around it ,it was a sigh of relief but here come a truck ''please God let him see it''I guess not even prays could have save my phone.My phone was gone, the hook went one way,the numbers another way,and the battery another way.I held the little girl hand and the cell phone with the same hand and didn't even realise the cell phone had fell ,all I was concentrating on is to get her accross the street safe.Just seeing your phone get away by one car and get smash by the second vehicle that only happens in one of those comedy movies and you know what may it be reality or comedy ,you really do hold your head when you see its going to get smash.Anyway the phone was two months old and I didn't buy it my husband did,so you know the smashing of the phone was the least of my probelms, thats what I thought at that moment .Later on that day my husband and I laugh about how the whole thing went down and he said the third phone is on me.
